Knightmare City Knight Friction ebook

Knightmare City Knight Friction ebook

Was this exactly what I hoped, wanted it to be. Yes, yes it was. It delivered in spades. This time Ben, with his personal demons nipping at his heels, walks out on Marcus. Marcus is devastated. He calls in every favor, getting a whole army to help him find Ben. He finds Ben, but just as their future looks bright, Ben's personal demons come charging through the door. Wait, what! that's were it ends. Just like the old fashioned pulp series, stay tuned for the next installment. Once again, this is a gritty story, story packed to the brim. I don't think I took a breath till it said to be continued.

If you are not reading this group, Pulp Friction, you are so missing out. Run, don't pass Go, don't collect $200, go to your nearest device and read them all. The stories are intertwined, making it a fun read.

I give it all the stars that a rent boy can hold.

Ok, I'll be nice, even though this book has the most torturous cliff hanger. Sigh. This book continues where the last book "City Knight: Working It" left off. I love the two main characters, Ben and Marcus and their evolving love story; two broken men that find each other when they both weren't looking. This book also brings in other characters in the Pulp Friction series by authors Lee Brazil, Havan Fellows, and Laura Harner. This book is the eighth one published so I went back and purchased the rest and I'll try now to read them in order - not that I think you need to, but the backstory brings in some very interesting characters that I want to learn more about! This story is fast-paced, a short read, and will have you wanting to kidnap the author, lock him in a room and make him write the final installment. Wait, that's another story. Anyway, very well done Mr. Webb, you certainly know how to make someone's blood pressure rise! I can't wait for the next installment, but I will.

Tom Webb along with Lee Brazil, Laura Harner, and Havan Fellows have gotten together with a unique idea an called it Pulp Friction. This is a collaboration of short stories, with each author characters inter twining within each others story line with the ever present cliff hanger for the come back for more endings. Each author writes their story and we the reader get a new release every two weeks with the four authors rotating. We are reviewing this series every 4 weeks so today and tomorrow you will see the Part Two review in it's entirety.

We last left Marcus Prater staring into the alley looking for his new lover Benjamin Danvers who had disappeared without a trace. Ben had been savagely raped by two men, still suffering the backlash of that experience with mistrust and fear. They have been in jail for this crime and he has learned they have gotten out and his fear is they will be looking for him.

Marcus, a police office turned Private Eye, has been a walking zombie since he lost the love of his life, a random mugging that left his lover bleeding out in front of a mini mart. Marcus has become the Dark Knight, walking the streets till dawn, to keep the neighborhood safe. This is how Marcus and Ben met.

The fear that tore at Marcus's heart not finding Ben waiting for him, spurred him on to calling on his friends who were not only surprised to hear from him and his need for help, but were happy Marcus had `something' now to focus on. The `'Boys' got busy and it made me feel good that their love and friendship for Marcus was so real.

Mr Webb is new to the writing scene, but writes like he has been doing this his whole life. I like his `writing voice' and died laughing when he mentioned the reading of a Deacon and Carrick book, which for all following Amy Lane and her Promise Rock series would know those characters very well. In following in Ms Lanes footsteps Mr Webb knows just when to turn up the heat or amp up the angst.

Quite outspoken in his ideas, Mr Webb's credo is Hot men WILL have sex and I can guarantee hot angst in my stories". I the reviewer can say he has not disappointed in that department and I will not spoil one thing about part two of your thriller. Loved it and was just as enchanted with the story line as I was in City Knight part one. I cannot wait to see the next installment.
