Sony Class Memory SF32UY TQMN

Sony Class Memory SF32UY TQMN

SD specs state that class 10 cards must guarantee 10MB/sec transfer speeds in various conditions, so it should exceed this out of the box under ideal conditions. This product's advertised speeds are "up to 20MB/sec" (which usually means reads).

Under diglloydTools DiskTester on my MBP, which can usually come pretty close to capping various flash device speeds:

Using test size of 2GB, 4MB at a time at start (0%), within a 30.2GB test file.

Iteration 1: writing...15.2MB/sec, reading...19.6MB/sec
Iteration 2: writing...15.6MB/sec, reading...19.7MB/sec
Iteration 3: writing...15.6MB/sec, reading...19.7MB/sec
Iteration 4: writing...15.7MB/sec, reading...19.7MB/sec
Iteration 5: writing...15.7MB/sec, reading...19.7MB/sec

So under good conditions (out of the box, large file transfer), I'm able to hit their advertised speeds, and both reads/writes are well above what is required for the spec. This agrees with several other reviews that the card is fast, with some numbers to back it up.

This is one of the first FAST SD card I have ever gotten. And I used it for My Raspberry Pi, I run it with XBMC for home theater use. And I compared it with a class4 card and it's VERY MUCH FASTER. Thanks SONY! And Amazon! HELLO Extra fast Raspberry Pi!

I bought 2 of these memory cards. One for sony camcorder and another for my LumixFz-200 and I'm loving them so far. This memory card also comes with free file rescue downloaded software that recovers pictures or video that have been accidently deleted. The card recorded a good 2 hours on my camcorder with high quailty video. It transfer rates at 40Mb/sec over a 3.0 usb port, so it will handle anything that comes it way. It takes alot of pictures, so you will never run out of spaces and worried about needed another card. I higly recommend it for anybody looking for a good memory card.

When you find this card for under a $100, you're crazy not to buy it. Under $50!!! This card is WATERPROOF, and Sony has free recovery software! I'm excited for all of the raw images that I can produce!

I was so impressed with this SD Card that I just now purchased another one. Great price!

My first one was to use on my old Garmin. Garmin indicated it may not work in their older models, but alas... it worked like a charm! Now I have plenty of memory for my maps. This is a really good deal for the price!

Just what we expected. Not a lot more to say about it, but it was a good value compared to in store.

  • Brandon Richmond says:

This preforms as expected and the price was right. I will order this again.
Can't go wrong. I use it in my tablet.
